SAVE THE DATE!                    Wednesday, January 29                                 5:30 - 6:30 Support your OEA Bargaining Team as they present contract proposals addressing the conditions necessary for thriving schools.

January 6, 2014 - Site Meetings

Please take the time to review your Bargaining Team's Sunshine Proposal. Discuss with your colleagues and OEA Rep. Discussion of the Sunshine will be a major part of Rep Council on January 6. Please email members at your school site this weekend to let them know that there will be a site meeting Monday after school. Remember, principals may not schedule any meetings after school on the first working Monday of the month (OUSD-OEA Agreement Article 6.1.12). Below please find a sample flyer that you can cut & paste and put in members' boxes Monday morning. If you would like a copy in Word email me. A Constant Contact email went out to all OEA members on December 24 with links to the OEA Sunshine Proposal so it is available for members to read and discuss. In addition, please make sure members at your school site are aware of the next OEA mobilization. We must show our strength when the OEA officially unveils our sunshine agreement at the January 29 OUSD School Board Meeting at La Escualita. OEA members need to commit to being there for one hour (5:30-6:30) so we can demonstrate to OUSD board members and staff that we are united in our determination to win the contract that we--and our students--deserve. Please attend Monday's Rep Council Meeting at Bret Harte Middle School (3700 Coolidge Ave) where we will discuss and vote on the OEA sunshine. The meeting will be held in the auditorium. Park on the blacktop and walk uphill to the stairs at the top of the blacktop to the upper patio. Once you walk upstairs, the Bret Harte auditorium will be on your left.
