At the only School Board meeting of December, Superintendent Yee and State Trustee Naylor will be reminded of the IOU owed to OaklandEducators. We are still waiting for our 0.05% retro pay.
As the school year completes its first trimester, we need to let OUSD administration and governance know our expectations and hear our suggestions for their Resolutions for 2014.
With a new Bargaining Proposal, Common Core implementation, Local Controlled Funding Formula, a Superintendent search and more in store for 2014, OEA Members must let their voices be heard.

OUSD Resolutions for the New Year:
-Pay OEA members .05% money owed;
-Ensure public access to 1000 Broadway;
-Full transparency and engagement in LCFF and LCAP decisions;
-Maintain commitment to limit class sizes in Special Ed;
-Rid the District of the failures in Results Based Budgetting
which reward inequity and instability.
